The day's schedule

Run on the majestic ParisLongchamp racecourse, the Emirates Poules d’Essai races unveil the up-and-coming champions of the horseracing scene.
This year once again, the NRJ Music Tour is coming to the racecourse to treat racegoers to a sensational day out!

  • 12.30 am

    Racecourse opens.
    Head to the food garden for some refreshments.

  • 12:40 pm

    The experience begins with the first race of the day. Get ready for some spectacular action on the course!

    Pop by our glitter stand and have your face painted by our make-up artists. It’s free and open to everyone!

  • 02.30 pm

    It’s time for some music! Join DJ BENS for a 30-minute live set that’s sure to ramp up the energy of the day.

  • 03.15 pm

    It’s time for the day’s most important races: the Emirates Poule d’Essai des Poulains and Emirates Poule d’Essai des Pouliches.

    Come and admire the horses in the paddock then head to the course to experience the thrill of horse racing from up close. The horses’ big moment has arrived!

  • 04.00 pm

    Grab a snack to keep your energy levels up: drinks, pancakes, waffles, sweets, candy floss, and more…
    Head to the racecourse’s food garden.

  • 05.15 pm

    The atmosphere heats up at the racecourse and ParisLongchamp is transformed into an open-air stage.

    The NRJ Music Tour takes the reins at the end of the afternoon, to round the day off in style with top current artists and chart-topping hits!

The Emirates Poules d’Essai

WHERE IT ALL STARTS!

The Emirates Poule d’Essai des Poulains is the first Group 1 race of the year for three-year-old colts over a distance of one mile.

The French equivalent to England’s 2,000 Guineas, the race is the first major test for the new generation.

A decisive race in terms of its ability to shape the season, it provides an indication as to whether the participants can move up to a mile and two and a half furlongs at the Qatar Prix du Jockey Club or stay at this distance.

A landmark event in the early stages of the season, it is the first chapter in a story that will run until October.

THE FIRST BIG TEST OF THE SEASON

Benchmark race leading up to the Prix de Diane Longines, the Emirates Poule d’Essai des Pouliches is reserved for 3-year-old fillies over a distance of 1600 meters.

As the first major test of the season for fillies, this race is crucial for what follows!
Few winners of the Emirates Poule d’Essai des Pouliches race have managed to achieve the double with the Prix de Diane Longines, making them queens of their generation.

SECURITY INFORMATION

As ParisLongchamp racecourse is located on the route of a busy cycle path, please be careful when approaching the racecourse.

Good news for our visitors arriving by bicycle. A free and secure bike parking area is available at the main entrance of the racecourse, along with a free repair service for minor fixes.

PROHIBITED ITEMS:
Knife – Glass bottle – Motorcycle helmet – Can – Megaphone – Scooter – Dog – Weapon – Ball

 

 

Increased security checks may be carried out on race days.
Pushchairs are welcome.
For safety reasons, pets are not permitted on the racecourse, even on a lead.

Free shuttle buses (buses run every 10 minutes): 

– Between 11.30am and 4.00pm to ParisLongchamp racecourse.

At Porte d’Auteuil, go to the No.32 bus stop (next to metro exit 1, Porte d’Auteuil).

At Porte Maillot, go to the No.244 bus stop (next to metro exit 3, Bd André Maurois).

– From 4.00pm to 8.30pm, from the racecourse to Porte d’Auteuil or Porte Maillot.
