Two days of top-class sport
The 48H de l’Obstacle event features two consecutive days of top-class sport with 16 races on the programme, including 9 hurdles races and 7 steeplechase races. If you love a thrill, come and experience 48 hours of high-octane action on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th November 2025!
This weekend includes five Group 1 races, the highest category of horse race: the Prix Serge Landon – Grand Prix d’Automne, the Prix Maurice Gillois – Grand Steeple-Chase des 4 ans, the Prix Cambacérès – Grande Course de Haies des 3 ans, the Prix Renaud du Vivier – Grande Course de Haies des 4 ans and the Prix La Haye Jousselin.

Jumps races are some of the most spectacular events in the racing calendar. Every year, Auteuil racecourse hosts top-level races that are perfect for thrill-seeking racegoers.
Some of the most spectacular races to watch at the 48H de l’Obstacle are the Prix Serge Landon – Grand Prix d’Automne (3 miles and 16 hurdles) and the Prix La Haye Jousselin (3 miles 3 ½ furlongs and 22 obstacles).
HURDLES RACES
Hurdles races have a minimum of 7 obstacles for the horses to jump. These 7 obstacles, called “hurdles” are all identical and are 1.10m in height.
STEEPLECHASE RACES
This discipline features various different obstacles (walls, water jumps, etc.) dotted around the course.
The obstacles in steeplechase races are higher and more difficult than the obstacles in a hurdles race. They vary from one race to the next, and also from one racecourse to the next.
The 48H de l’Obstacle is also a unique experience that titillates the taste buds!
