On Thursdays, the celebrations continue with our racing after parties!

Every Thursday from 3.30pm, watch a series of outstanding evening races then keep the party going in the Black Type bar. As soon as the races are finished for the day, the bar’s shaded patio turns into an open-air party venue in the heart of the racecourse.

Settle in for an evening of live music, with a different vibe every week: singers, DJ sets, jazz groups and saxophone players keep the celebrations going until 11pm in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.

Saturdays are for getting creative!

Every Saturday, join our craft workshops and take home your own personal creation. Make a friendship bracelet (Saturday 8th August), personalise a bucket hat or treat your children to a hair braid (Saturday 15th August), then make your own souvenir phial of sand (Saturday 22nd August).

Head to the entertainment stall to join in the fun and get creative!

Sundays are for special guests and thrills!

On Sunday 2nd August, on the opening day of the Barrière Deauville Meeting, come and meet Miss France 2026 as she hosts an exclusive autograph signing session. Meet the elegant Hinaupoko Devèze in person at the racecourse!

Every Sunday, a series of special events are hosted at the racecourse:

Children are invited to parade alongside the jockeys in the paddock (free of charge, sign up on the day, subject to availability). The jockeys will also sign autographs for their young fans – a superb opportunity to meet these athletes in person!

Racegoers can also watch a spectacular sand sculpture being shaped during the day.

There are a number of food outlets on the racecourse, including Le Bar des Casaque in the concourse and the Snack de la Touques with a varied takeaway menu.

Picnic tables are available nearby.

For those with a sweet tooth, there’s a range of ice creams, crêpes, waffles, sweets and candyfloss to suit all tastes.

Prix Rothschild – European Breeders’ Fund
Distance: Mile sprint – Prize money: €300,000

The legendary Prix Rothschild always kicks off the Barrière Deauville Meeting. This Group 1 race, the highest category of horse race, is reserved for fillies and mares aged 3 and over.
The race is open to horses sired by stallions registered with the European Breeders’ Fund. If one of them wins the race, they will receive an additional €110,000.

This grand prix always proves spectacular, like all of the sprints run on Deauville racecourse, because the horses thunder down the track at speeds of over 60 to 70 km/h just a few feet away from the spectators!

Al Rayyan Cup and Doha Cup
Distance: 1 mile 2 furlongs – Prize money: €50,000

This race day, which features two races sponsored by the Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club (QREC), shines the spotlight on the purebred Arab breed with two Group 1 races:

• Al Rayyan Cup (Prix Kesberoy), run over 1 mile and 2 furlongs and open to 3-year-olds.
• Doha Cup (Prix Manganate), which is also run over 1 mile and 2 furlongs but is reserved for horses aged 4 and over.

The English thoroughbred breed was originally bred from purebred Arabs. In the 18th century, Arab stallions were crossed with English broodmares, giving rise to the English thoroughbred breed, which is well known for its speed.

ARC Prix Maurice de Gheest – European Breeders’ Fund
Distance: 6 ½ furlong sprint – Prize money: €380,000

This day shines the spotlight on the American Racing Channel (ARC), partner and television rights-holder for racecourses in South America.

Created in 1922, the ARC Prix Maurice de Gheest is one of the most eagerly anticipated Group 1 races at the Barrière Deauville Meeting. It is one of the only horse races to be run over the unusual 6 ½ furlong distance.

This offers the rare opportunity for sprinters – horses that excel over short distances of between 5 and 6 furlongs – to compete against milers, whose favoured distance is a mile (8 furlongs). Offering €380,000 in prize money, this race always attracts a field of top-class horses.

The Aga Khan Studs Prix Jacques Le Marois
Distance: 1 mile sprint – Prize money: €1 million

On this day, sponsored by the prestigious The Aga Khan Studs, Deauville racecourse hosts the race with the highest prize money of the whole Barrière Deauville Meeting.

Having featured on the racing programme since 1921 and named after Jacques Le Marois, a prominent racehorse breeder and owner, this major race has a 1-million-euro purse.

Run as a mile-long sprint, this historic race is not only a showcase for high-speed talent but is also one of the key events of the summer racing season and attracts spectators and betters from all over the globe.

Sumbe Prix Morny
Distance: 6-furlong sprint – Prize money: €350,000

Sumbe stud farm, which belongs to businessman Nurlan Bizakov, sponsors this race as well as the whole race day at Deauville racecourse, which is located just a few kilometres from the stud. The Sumbe Prix Morny was created in 1865, making it the longest-running Group 1 race held on Deauville-La Touques racecourse. Run as a sprint over 6 furlongs, it acts as a springboard for promising male and female sprinters and milers, shining the spotlight on the rising talents of the up-and-coming generation.

Sumbe Prix Jean & Louis Romanet
Distance: 1 mile 2 furlongs – Prize money: €400,000

Created in 2004, this race is a warm-up for the Qatar Prix Vermeille, which is one of the races run in preparation for the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. In 2026, the race was renamed Sumbe Prix Jean & Louis Romanet. This new name pays tribute to two major figures in the racing world: Louis Romanet, who passed away in 2026, and his father, Jean Romanet.

It is one of the Arc Races, a selection of the best races on the French racing calendar that all lead up to the year’s main event. The winner of the Sumbe Prix Jean & Louis Romanet is awarded a place in the line-up for the legendary Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.

Sumbe Prix Kergorlay
Distance: 1 mile 7 furlongs – Prize money: €164,700

As of its 2026 edition, the Sumbe Prix Kergorlay (Group 2 for horses aged 3 and over) will award its winner a golden ticket for the Lexus Melbourne Cup, which is known in Australia as the “race that stops a nation”.

Lucien Barrière Grand Prix de Deauville
Distance: 1 mile 4 ½ furlongs – Prize money: €183,000

The Meeting is rounded off in style thanks to Barrière, the official naming sponsor of the Barrière Deauville Meeting, who will step into the spotlight with the Lucien Barrière Grand Prix de Deauville.

This Group 2 race is reserved for English thoroughbreds aged 3 and over and is run over the rare mile and 4 ½ furlong distance, which requires the horses to display both speed and stamina. Winners of this race often go on to compete in the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, which is run at ParisLongchamp in the autumn.
